AI Receptionist pattern
An AI receptionist answers calls, collects structured details, classifies urgency, and routes the request into the business system. For HVAC, trades, real estate, healthcare, and other service businesses, the first useful version usually handles overflow or after-hours calls before it earns full booking authority.
The implementation is mostly rules and integration. The agent needs approved language, escalation triggers, calendar or dispatch constraints, and a way to write clean notes back to the CRM or field-service platform. It should not diagnose complex work or make promises outside policy.
Success looks like fewer unanswered inquiries, cleaner morning queues, faster human follow-up, and better call summaries. Those are operation-specific outcomes, not guaranteed lift claims.
